As part of this experience, you will have the opportunity to take a refreshing break and immerse yourself in the natural wonders of the reserve, particularly the breathtaking Sandoval Lake, which is teeming with vibrant plant life and a diverse range of animals.

Here is the schedule for the tour, which combines piranha fishing with a visit to Yacumama Lake:

Nature enthusiasts and fishing enthusiasts alike will delight in this unique combination of experiences. Departure is scheduled for 03:30 pm, and we will embark on a scenic drive to the MADAMA community, where the picturesque Yacumama Lake awaits.

This lake is renowned for its stunning sunsets, and it serves as a sanctuary for numerous macaws, parrots, and parakeets.

Visitors frequently have the opportunity to observe black caimans, herons, cormorants, wild ducks, swallows, and four different types of piranhas. If luck is on your side, you may even catch a glimpse of a family of river otters.

During the Yacumama Lake tour, we will board a rowboat that will guide us to the designated piranha fishing location.

Catching piranhas is a relatively straightforward task, as we will be using small hooks. Once you have successfully caught a piranha, we will capture a memorable photograph with it before releasing it back into the water. This practice is aimed at preserving the food source for other wildlife in the area.

At approximately 6:00 p.m., we will return to Puerto Maldonado, bringing our tranquil nature excursion to a close.
